Founded in 1891, Cowal Golf Club overlooks the Firth of Clyde, one of the world’s most beautiful estuaries, and the seaside town of Dunoon. Cowal is a James Braid designed course which skilfully exploits the wide variety of natural and typically Scottish features to produce as enjoyable a test of golf as you’ll find anywhere. It remains the only 18 hole golf course in the Cowal Peninsula.
Visitors are welcome at Cowal Golf Club with seasonal green fees available payable at the Shoffice or Club Bar. There are a number of options available for membership which is offered with no additional joining fee. Country Membership for those living outside the area is also available. Social membership offers all the facilities of the Clubhouse to non-playing members.
The Clubhouse was opened in 1996 and offers a great facility for golfers and social members. There is a Members Bar, Lounge/Function Hall with Bar and Snooker Room. Cowal Golf Club holds a Club Licence and offers catering facilities. There are great views from the Clubhouse Lounges and outer balcony. The Club is an ideal venue for social functions which can be arranged through the Club Secretary.
For members and visitors, there are changing rooms for gents and ladies which comprise of lockers and showering facilities.
Cowal Golf Club are proud to be able to offer the ‘Shoffice’ a recently fitted, welcoming environment to pay your green fees, enter competitions and purchase golfing merchandise from some of the worlds’ most famous golfing brands, at competitive prices. We also have clubs, trolleys and Powakaddy Trolleys for hire. Hot/cold drinks and sweets are all available to purchase to refresh you during play.
